These charts show that in the United States the population of veterans is currently around 22 million. Approximately nine percent of these are female and that percentage is expected to almost double in thirty years. Around eleven percent are black, six percent are hispanic, and almost four percent represent the other minorities. The percentages of black and hispanic veterans is expected to grow by six percent over the next thirty years.
The total number of veterans is expected to drop over the next thirty years due to the lack of drafts and conflicts requiring more technology and less manpower.
The total population of Missouri veterans is almost five hundred thousand. Almost four hundred fifty-thousand of them are male and almost forty thousand are female. Of these around three hundred sixty-five thousand are wartime veterans! These are all men and women who were serving during wartime. These are all veterans who have fought in America’s wars and who have fought for the freedoms that this country stands for. These people still need your support and your help!
Most of today’s veterans served on a volunteer basis, so can’t you volunteer some of your time to help them out?
Many veterans experience various problems when they return home. Injuries, illness, PTSD, and various other physical and emotional wounds are suffered. Arbor Health is just one of many organizations devoted to helping veterans.
We always welcome volunteers in the various events we host, and we would love for you to help out! It doesn’t take much. Money, time, effort, and of course, prayers are always accepted gratefully.
Please help out in whatever way you can. We appreciate it, and we promise our veterans will appreciate any efforts. We are changing lives.... one person at a time!
